Glencoe-Silver Lake Junior/Senior High School

To Connect, To Lead, To Inspire

Welcome to Glencoe-Silver Lake Senior High School!

  • Glencoe-Silver Lake, is a friendly community school serving grades 9-12. A wide array of curricular and co-curricular options are offered to meet individual student needs and interests in a supportive and nurturing setting. GSL Senior High School is truly “a great place to learn.”

Our choir and band programs typically perform before standing-room only audiences. Students have the opportunity to gain theatrical experience through a Fall musical and the Winter one-act play. Our visual arts students have secured numerous "superior" ratings at regional competitions for many years.

GSL Senior High School offers dozens of activities that provide an extra-curricular opportunity for almost every student. Our programs have had tremendous success. This is evidenced by state tournament appearances by our football, and boys and girls track over the past decade.

We strive to connect and communicate with our parents and students. Interaction through our web-based student information system (Infinite Campus) allows students and parents the opportunity to view class assignments, grades, school and activity calendars through a secure web site.

Our district is committed to increasing the availability and integration of technology within our curriculum. A strategic five-year technology plan anticipates district hardware and software needs, while providing an aggressive training schedule to assist teachers in using technology in their classrooms. Students currently access technology in our three computer labs, as well as our Media Center, open from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM daily. Our student-focused media center provides a mix of print and digital resources to provide students with a backbone of information to propel their learning experience in a warm and friendly environment.

Led by a dedicated and professional teaching staff, GSL Senior High School is focused on one objective: providing a positive learning environment for our students.
