Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO)
There is no charge to PSEO students for tuition, books or fees for items that are required to participate in a course. Students must meet the PSEO residency and eligibility requirements and abide by participation limits specified in Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.09. Funds are available to help pay transportation expenses for qualifying students to participate in PSEO courses on college campuses. Schools must provide information to all students in grades 8-11 and their families by March 1, every year. Students must notify their school by May 30 if they want to participate in PSEO for the following school year. For current information about the PSEO program, visit the Minnesota Department of Education’s Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) webpage.
Students should contact Ms. Schmidt the trimester before they consider beginning a PSEO program.

- Participation in high school activities. Students participating in PSEO should be treated as regular high school students with regard to activities organized or sponsored by the student’s high school. This includes National Honor Society, athletics, clubs and organizations, dances and graduation ceremonies.
- Access to building and technology. School districts must allow PSEO students to remain at the school site during regular school hours. In addition, school districts must adopt a policy that provides PSEO students with reasonable access to computers and other technology resources that the student needs to complete course work. Examples could include access to the computer lab, the building’s Wi-Fi connection, or use of a tablet or laptop.
